If you’ve heard about the benefits of laser eye surgery, such as LASIK, but you are either not qualified to have it done, or you don’t want to for one of various possible reasons, you can still enjoy what the procedure offers by taking advantage of ortho-k, or what is also called corneal refractive therapy. Here at Park Professional Eyecare, you can be certain that you have access to the most advanced treatments that will give you results you might have never dreamed possible. Currently, this technology is only available to treat nearsightedness.
Nearly anyone is a good candidate for ortho-k from our Country Club optometry. Laser eye surgery has certain eligibility requirements that leave a significant number of people out. Now you can still have sharp, clear vision at a distance. Here’s how it works: after an examination at our office, your ortho-k lenses are prescribed and made by our Country Club optometry. Each night at bedtime, you put them in. Then you just go to sleep. The lenses do the rest. There is no work on your part, and no danger or side-effects. When you awaken, you’ll have noticeably better distance vision. The results last for a day or sometimes a little more, but it is best to get into the habit of wearing them every night. Once you get used to them, it’s no different than brushing and flossing your teeth before bed. It’s simply part of your normal routine. Best of all, since the effects are temporary, you can stop any time. If you later decide to have laser eye surgery, or you would rather just go back to wearing glasses or contacts, the options are all yours.
Our Country Club optometry is pleased to make ortho-k available to you, our valued customer. Please reach out to our office to schedule an appointment.
